Paul... Go see it. NOW!

I was going to wait to see this, don't ask me why. I don't think there was any movie currently out other than Rango, that I've been wanting to see. So anyhow, you know how cool alien movies are? Well, Paul is just so much cooler. I didn't know how they were gonna handle this but Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were just hilarious and Seth Rogan does a spot on job as Paul. The writing was just so right on and the alien movie refrences scattered throughout were awesome. Also, Jason Bateman is such a badass in this film. It's definitely one that you will want to see more than once.

Expect spoilers after the jump.

Now let's start off by saying that opening with Comic-Con was GENIUS. I've never been and have been wanting to go for years so, yeah, that was instant fun. Now that these are two geeks, that is also perfect. This movie is so obviously a fanboy's dream come true. Of course Simon Pegg wrote it! He who loves, zombies, bad-ass action and space films. Hello? Mr. Pegg has a dream job and it's so obvious that he and Mr. Frost love what they do which makes them all the more brilliant at it. Really funny how everyone keeps assuming they're a couple. Not just a guy movie either. So, Jason Bateman, let's just say he was perfect and I love the twist he gives the ending. Mr. Rogan was Paul. How laid back can an alien be? Why is he so laid back? You'll see. Also, how Paul get's his name is just random as heck. That he feels like crap about it and that they actually address it is just really "human" and right. Aside from that, this is just what you would want a close encounter to be like. Really, really funny stuff.

With all the crap happening in the world right now, this is a much appreciated film. I really needed to laugh this week and am so, so grateful that I was able to see this. We need more Mr. Pegg. Please keep writing so we can keep laughing. Thank you.

[Warning: There are several pro-evolution scenes in the film that ridicule Christianity. To more sensitive Christians, it may be too much.]
